hello everyone so this is a common question in the old times the elders used to always say that spirits couldn’t cross water particularly in the atr’s before i get into it if you need to destroy blockages and create success in your life go

couldn’t cross water and there’s a reason for this is because the energy or the power of water is the power to absorb much like a sponge the water can absorb energies so therefore it would absorb the spirit’s energy as the spirit was trying
to cross water making it unable to reach a lot of elders would say this would be especially true across salt water that it would kill the magical essence of whatever was being done another reason that some ancestors or some elders said that the
spirits couldn’t cross water is because in our spiritual work water is the medium through which or the channel through which the spirits travel to the spiritual world so the spirit could become reabsorbed through the water and end up in the spiritual world instead
of where you were trying to send it there’s another historical fact as to why this was a commonly held saying this is because many of the elders couldn’t swim and couldn’t do boat or do certain things with the water at one point in
time this was something that was really reserved for fishermen and their children and sometimes in some islands one can still see this where the only people who really know how to swim boat etc are fishermen children and other people who work on the
water by not teaching others how to boat swim etc work on the water this was a way of protecting one’s business against competitors and not adding to one’s competition back in the day at least this is what i was told so like comment
