Anaisa is one of the most beloved amongst the Mysteries and always for good reason.
A while back, I was having a talk with some fellow Caballos de Misterios, Papa Bokos and Mama Mambos….you know, smoking for Baron and shooting the breeze as they say …
Here are some of the things that came up about her… all very true and just a few of the reasons why I love her so.
“When Anaisa says it’s done, it’s done”.
Meaning magically speaking , her power is sure and swift.
“She doesn’t have to light up any thing, do anything, etc when she gives you her words, then all you have to do is wait and she gives “
Meaning she doesn’t have to take any action, do any magic. With just telling you, giving you her word, the magic will bear fruit.
“But when she says exactly so, she means exactly so. She tells you three leaves of xxx she means that, not 4 not 2.”
Meaning she is exact. She is specific in her demand and request, but also in her speech. She means what she says. She asks for exactly what’s needed, no more no less.
“Even when you don’t like it, she tells you how it is, even if it costs you…. and you can’t even be mad at her for it.”
Meaning, she tells you the truth whether you like it or not. Even if it comes as a blow to your ego, she delivers the message. Sometimes, she may deliver the message in a way you don’t like and even laugh at your expense, but she does it from love and so you can’t really be upset with her.
Since you know she speaks truth, and she tells you from love, joy and your improvement, and evolution you have to agree with her and can’t be mad at her for being the messenger.
“She’ll take you out of your own way and sh*t”
Meaning she breaks confusion, and get you out of your own funk, depression and sadness.
“The youngest and the Queen….even they have to love her “
Meaning that she is considered the youngest amongst the Mysteries and yet the Queen amongst the Mysteries for her way to be able to get her way. Even the all the Mysteries love her…. including those who she’s known to have more “strained relationships with “
“She doesn’t need to do anything herself, actually… very rarely does she actually do the work….she usually gets another, San Miguel, Baron, Gede ….”
Due to her incredible network and powers, Anaisa often has other mysteries fulfilling her obligations. This is a testament to her power with others but also her ability to negotiate, do business and work with her relationships.
….. Our conversation then moved into other topics. Eventually we came back around to Anaisa….
“Anaisa comes as La Cachita, “ said Mambo Yuli
“She is not La Cachita… that’s another “ said Boko Raul
“Well, what my mother showed me was that she was. That’s one of the vueltas “ responded the Mambo
No, La Cachita is not a turn of Anaisa. …. Those are others, those are separate Misterios said Boko Raul
We’ll for me, Las 7 vueltas are 7 Santas…7 female Saints… said Mambo Yuli
Las 7 vueltas are 7 of the same Anaisa. That’s why Anaisa is Anaisa. Wherever you go it’s the same Saint….. Raul replied
For me, yes that’s so, but there are 7 female Saints that each Work one of those turns….Yuli acknowledged
Tio Marco chimes in with…For me the 7 are manifestation in each division. But there are more than 7. Each has 3. There are 21.
Dona Ramona: I don’t worry about that…. I just serve Anaisa and everything works fine for me….
